My issue with regular use like opening a website or a PDF document. The temps I posted above were an extreme case during a stress test at 100% load. I have no issues with fans ramping up while gaming because they stay at the same speed and anyway I wear a headset while gaming. The games I play don't even utilize 100% of the CPU. ![]() My issue isn't with temps or noise under load. If you're still not fine with it then id think that there's some issue with stock fan or your how set up your air flow (one flowing in, one outwards) but i doubt thats the case because other temps look okay. So have you tried the voltage offset? -0.05 or -0.075 (remember it's negative not positive). If you're still not happy then try negative voltage offset. ![]() if it's silent and spikes up a lot i would raise the fan curve by 10% at 50-60 then 5% for 60-70C, again if its silent id raise it again by 5% as long as it's not noisy. i would double check temp during real life tasks like gaming (after resetting hwinfo), it might actually be much lower. also if it's actual stresstest then it's not a really real life but extreme cases meaning we have some more wiggle room. I watched that video and that guy has monitor tctrl for fan speed. You could still apply the undervolt and see how it goes but id be curious so see your clock boost/temp info on Hwinfo. If working normally like 70/75C during stress then its a fan issue probably. Once it's low enough id then switch to monitoring the socket/board temp (not the ctrl) then check your temperature in hwinfo64. If it's low like 40C and your fans revving up 80% then you need to lower the fan curve a bit. if its high like 80C during stresstest then you apply the undervolt like i said. So first install hwinfo and check your CPU/core temp max/avg etc. I don't see any screenshots of Hwinfo temp readings. Again not trying to be rude but I don't think that you've configured it properly so even if you change the board you'd still need to configure stuff whether it's AMD or Intel. ![]()
